THERAPEUTIC HORTICULTURE IN WOMEN’S REFUGES

Soil Sisters is a year round programme of weekly sessions, across five women’s refuges in East London, to build and maintain green spaces. These sessions support the recovery and development of vulnerable women in traumatic transitions within women’s refuge settings.

Our workshops at Limborough Food Hub explore in a practical way, how our diet and lifestyles has an impact on the planet. Attendees learn and try new plant based recipes, spend time in the community garden and enjoy a delicious lunch. These courses aim to grow community cohesion, sustain equal rights and open possibilities for residents living in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
